I believe that teamwork is vitally important for the best outcome for the patient and their families.
Communication is vital, to be able to give our best for the patient.
If there is any conflict between member so that must be worked out, so that the patient is assisted to the best of our abilities.
Especially with children as the patients, they are more vulnerable, and wont understand if team members, are not united in their goal of the childs best interests.

I agree. I understand that communication and trust with the parent’s is also very important because they are usually the child’s ‘safe space’, so if the parents trust you, then the child is more likely to. Also a breakdown of trust and communication between the team and the parents can lead to the child becoming less co-operative or mistakes being made.

You hit the nail on the head – children are more intuitive than we give them credit for and they certainly do pick up on negativity and conflict!
