On planet earth people are moving from point A to point B for various reasons .In CPC we have that problem of
foreign families who cannot speak English or any venacular language in Rsa.It becomes very difficult to have conversation with such individual’s , language becomes a huge barrier, so in that case as a palliative team its our role to find a translator who can help ernoumously in conveying the message . With undocumented foreigners its the task of the social worker to liase with the relevant embassy in order to liase with our DHA for official documentation because the child needs care but parents are undocumented e.g. for home oxygen if child is oxygen dependant, with the latter its a long process , but we will win at the end of the day .
