in the neonatal unit we get babies born with birth asphyxia. deciding how far to go in resuscitation is not always defined. how long should CPR be done . should we put on mechanical ventilation . are we not worsening the suffering in the long term for the patient and the caregivers , e.g risk of life threatening conditions like cerebral palsy etc .
maybe just allow the child to rest
