I was a part of Hats on at my hospital this year – we had a march around the hospital wearing our hats, a competition for the best hat – there was amazing support from the staff of my hospital because my colleague is a/ the leader for CPC and has been putting up posters and raising awareness all year. I was impressed my our internal medicine department who really supported us and happy that they also try to practice a holistic palliative care approach with their patients. What I noticed is that my department needs to keep up regular debriefing about our patients because it helps us process our emotions about our sick kids.
