One of the things that divides us as humans is pride. The ego needs to be reassured often that its recognized and important. With that in mind, if we come together as a group of professionals and lay people, with the common goal of enabling and uplifting each other, to the ends of helping those who suffer either as patient or parent / carer, if we humble ourselves, knowing we are all just human, we can indeed work together for the good of many.
I have had the privilege of working with many such groups – drs, physiotherapists, speech therapists, dietitians, clergy, music therapists etc…all working within the group with their own strengths all towards the betterment of the patient and family.
