By childrens Dignity we mean respecting the childs identity and individuality allowing them to make own choices such as selecting toys cloths room decorations and to use childs preferred name and communication style. Communication with honesty through open dialogue allowing them to express fears. Supporting the family is also part of childs dignity by recognizing parents as essential partners in care.
Children`s dignity is also preserved by ensuring child comfort and pain relief through peaceful child -friendly environment by minimizing invasive or unnecessary procedures that cause discomfort
