UNDER 5 Clinic will be my target:
I will encourage mothers/ care givers and Health care providers to give
children some chance to be included in discussion and decision making
about their health and illness.
Because before, especially in our culture, it was and still is in some
areas, is still the mother who do the talking and the child keep quiet.
Chance for the child to ask questions does prepare the child for the
future, otherwise the child will remain with unanswered questions.
I will encourage mothers with children with life limiting and life threatening illnesses to let the child to go to school if. he wish,
it will be for the family and us as Palliative Care team to meet and
explain the condition to the principal.
