      Pain is definitely still not treated appropriately because doctors are still taught to be shy of pain medication in children. Still made to believe that children don’t have the same level of pain as adults. As doctors we are still being taught to shy away from morphine and stronger analgesia in children – limiting our pain management to paracetamol and ibuprofen. It’s actually quite sad especially because especially in South Africa, we do have more analgesia options and we still do not use it.
