Preserving dignity in young ones to me comes with taking in consideration of their emotions, physical, cultural and spiritual and social aspects, providing them with autonomy where they can also take part in their own treatment decisions. I feel that to preserve dignity in children one should keep things as normal as possible and not try to change what the child is used to or even their routines or choose for them what to eat or what to play or always holding them not wanting to let them off your side. Be honest to them when coming to treatment and progression of illness and at the same time protect them and be easy on their feelings, take care of their symptoms and keep them as comfortable as possible.
