I have found it so interesting to learn about chronic pain in this module as up until this point, I have only ever really associated it with an adult population. Your observation about it being linked to a variety of mental health disorders in children is very true and gives me insight into the the fact that treating and managing children’s pain is complex and while it must be recognised, assessed and managed, it cannot be managed in isolation from everything else in paediatric palliative care.
