      – Children are unable to verbalise their pain the same way adults do, so it is often misinterpreted
      – Limited training of healthcare workers on the different pain scoring systems available to identify pain in children of varying ages
      – Families and some healthcare workers may normalise children’s pain as part of their illness and something they should just tolerate
